VICTORY TO THE FARE DODGERS - FARE DODGING DOUBLED IN 4 MONTHS

The contents of a secret London Transport memo on Fare Evasion passed on to us by the fare Dodgers Liberation Front ''make pretty gloomy reading'', so says Richard Sharp, Customer Campaigns Manager.

From their own figures fare evasion has doubled over 4 months from 7% to 14%, although these are just the ones who get caught. The memo tries to claim there are two groups of faredodgers 'passive evaders' (who use excuses like ticket office closed) and 'diehards', but as we all know there is no such thing as a 'passive evader' - you're either a faredodger or not.

Sharp tries to blame and carefully pigeonhole the causes of this 'multiplying of fare dodgers' on things like 'disinterested staff', 'infrequent ticket checks', 'closed ticket offices', 'the absence of Penalty Fares advertising' and so on. Totally missing the point that people are pissed of at getting ripped off by London Transport, and also that it's good fun. Sharp blames the increase in 'Diehard' dodgers on 'publicity surrounding the Fare Dodgers Liberation Front' and on 'students' so come on dolies, single parents and the elderly let's show them that we all hate them.
